Now THIS is Twins baseball!

Wow, I didn't realize that it had been 3 weeks since we had back to back wins. That is all over now!

The past 2 games are the games that are the best to watch. Coming back from 5-0 and 4-1 is great! Do you know how bad it would have been if we had been 7.5 back? Ugh. We need to continue to battle here. Detroit isn't just going to hand us the division!

I am so happy for the following people:
*Delmon Young: You have really stepped it up recently, and I love when you make me happy!
*Denard Span: Such a risky play to run in from second, but hey! You made it (and made pudge look like a rookie!)
*Joe Mauer: Yeah, they so ripped you off of your streak yesterday, but you're average is so high, you'll start a new (longer) streak tonight!
*Jose Mijares: You didn't give up any runs when we were only up by one. Good Job! (You are better than Keppel...aka Krappel according to
Betsy )

Get better soon Morneau. We can't have Cuddy playing 1B forever. And Harris at first base? HA! This is the situation where Buscher would be in....sigh :(

Swarzaky tonight! whoot whoot!

Oh, Delmon Young!

How you please me! I quote from the post below "Keep it up Delmon (and hit a homerun...that will make me EXTRA happy!) ;) "

And what does he do? He hits a homerun in the bottom of the second (his 1st at bat).

He heard me! I swear it!

*sigh* :)

Forever Young

Twins baseball for ya last night. No Homeruns or big stuff like that, just the old fasioned bunts, singles, and sacrifices. Just how we like it!

First off, Nick Punto's bunt for the squeeze was PERFECT. Young (we'll talk about him more later) ran it perfectly as well.

Slowey, that superman, got his 10th win. Tied with Halladay, which is pretty spectacular. Can you say SLOWEY THE ALL-STAR? :)

SUPER SLOWEY!

Any last but not least, Delmon Young. He has made me happy these past few weeks, and yeserday, he won the game with his hitting...and fielding. The homerun saver was amazing (even though Gomez did look awesome scaling that wall...). Keep it up Delmon (and hit a homerun...that will make me EXTRA happy!) ;)

Baker tonght=Lots of K's. Run support tonight please!

Baker Time

Great Performance last night Scotty (well, we won't count the 9th inning). You were nearly unhittable. You were really cookin'!

Great to see some more HR power last night too. Morneau, so happy you are actually thinking and not just trying to be macho. And Kubel, well, you just do your thing! (P.S. Bremer SO called the 3 run homerun last night).

Oh, have you seen this guy who is about 6 foot 1, 210 pounds, and last name starts with 'H' and ends in 'Arris'? Because he, is on Fire right now. The look of dissapointment on his face when his double didn't clear the fence. He tries so hard every game, and that's why he is my BF of the day. (one flaw, he does like to watch strike 3 and make a big deal over how it "wasn't even close")

And....Delmon Young. You proved me wrong last night, and I am glad you did! This was the first time this year I was actually happy you were in the line-up. Now that is something you don't hear from me everyday!!

Thumbs up for you Delmon Young!

Lets focus on winning the rest of this road trip, ok guys? (and please encourage Liriano to do good today...please)

Not Bad...Not bad at all!

Twins: 5 R.Sox:6 (L) Liriano
Twins: 5 R.Sox: 2 (W) Blackburn
Twins: 4 R.Sox: 2 (W) Slowey
Twins: 1 R.Sox: 3 (L) Salami (Swarzak)

Splitting the series against the "Big, Tough, Homer-happy" Red Sox isn't that bad considering what happend to us in New York... (cough)

Sure, it we could have done better, but, we could have done worse. Poor Mauer, didn't do so well against Boston, so hopefully he will do alot better against Tampa in this next series.

And, What are the chances that BOTH managers and BOTH catchers get ejected from the same ballgame? At least Redmond didn't go and break the teams' drink machine with a bat like
Carlos Zambrano. Jeez, that guy is nuts!

Dear Delmon Young,

Yeah, um, you are making me kinda mad in how you are not doing so well. So, do you think that you could maybe do better? You really need to work on your 1) Hitting 2) Hustle 3) well, yeah there is only 2 but the 3 makes it look professional. So, yeah. Please get on that or you may have some fans not very happy (if they already aren't happy).

*Love you lots [not really]

Where are you Joe Mauer!?

'Cause we need you badly. We just lost two [embarrassing] games to the White Sox, and now we are off to play the "Red Hot" Toronto Blue Jays. Please come home soon. Please?

This series reminded me just how much I despise 1) Paul Konerko 2)Jermaine Dye 3) Jim Thome 4) Alexei Rameriez 5) Carlos Quentin & 6) Ozzy Guillen. That is most of their lineup, so basically, I despise the Chicago White Sox. And no, this doesn't include Joe Crede. He has been converted into a mighty fine Twins man.

Finally, Delmon got his batting average off zero, and today he hit a home run. Slowly he is coming back. Lets just say I hope he does better than last year.

Well, Cuddy, I hope you can forgive yourself after making two errors at 1B. But Morneau's kinda been slacking lately, so we needed to mix it up a bit.

Oh, and I love Jose Morales. He looks like a second grader!
Look how innocent that face is. You gotta love it!

Grapefruit Frontrunners!

Whoa! 4-0! Way to go guys!

Ok, so we got Crede Right? Well, he better watch out because Buscher is on FIRE right now! (Wait, when isn't he?)

Well, we got lots of run support today from Young (3 for 3, 2 RBIs) and Gomez (HR), but also won the game due to a great show from the bullpen....and Liriano, of course.

Too bad that Mauer is not healthy enough to participate in this fun. And Turns out Boofie won't be able to participate at all. He will just have to hang out with Neshek this season.

Tomorrow we play the Sox again. AND it's Slowey's starting day!! :)

Young, Mr.Young

Two 3-run games...in a row?? Yay Young! I can now like you since I now dislike Crain/Everette... :)

Delmy, you really helped out today....but ya know...Slowey deserves some credit. 1 run over 6 innings pitched is pretty darn good In my opinion. Ahh.....2 outa 3 from the Yankees. It feels so good.

Off Day Tomorrow (again?! I want MORE BASEBALL!!) , and then Liriano's game on Friday....can't wait to see him live at the dome.

Dear Minnesota Twins,
Please, PLEASE do not make asses of yourselves against the Mariners again. Please do not leave balls hanging for Ibaniez to hit. And Please have Span and Young play everyday of the series.

Thankyou.

Leaving note: Slowey looked absoulutely AWESOME in his navy jersey today (and Blackburn as well yesterday). :)

Little Nicky Punto?

Was that guy out there in the number 8 jersey Nick Punto??

Boy has he ever kicked butt these past few days. The roller to Casilla for the force Wednesday, then the homer and the bases clearing double yesterday. Whew! His new name should be Mighty Nicky Punto!

And, yeah....Delmy did good too (Dam *secret swear*, I hate that I hate him and then he does good...). He is finally getting his swing...but he still has a long way to go to beat last years homerun record (16).

And the Pitching this past week? Awesome....except Jesse Crain, my new target to cuss at when I am mad (I seriously thought we were gunna lose in the 9th yesterday because he was in....thats how much i don't trust him).

Today is Slowey day (yeahaa) and we are gunna K-Y-L those Indians...again! GO SLOWERZ!

Spectacular Slowey's Shutout

And this is why I love Kevin Slowey.

Twi nnz: 5 Mil Walk E: 0 (Thats right, ZERO)

Pitching a shutout, going up against the ace for Millwaukee, Kicking ass: all add up to a perfect game.

Young even hit a homerun! And Gardee put Lamb in the lineup (wow. He looks like crap with that beard) and HE hit a single. Gomez had a great catch and RBI triple to add to the party.

Twins are back on a winning streak and 1/2 game behind Chicago (if they lose).

Boof, I feel a bit sad for you out there isolated from your starter friends, so I decided to photoshop you.

I'm in the mood for some Boof Berry...*ick*

Kevin Slowey sure showed some class today...I hope the other pitchers catch on to his awesome-ness....except Blackburn...he is already awesome...

Dare I say this?

Ok, ok. I know, and you know, that I hate Delmon Young right?Yeah...um, but yesterday, he really made me happy. Anytime anyone helps the Twins beat the Yankee's makes me happy. I guess Young would be my, as Twins bloggers call it, Boyfriend of the Day. Yes, Delmon Young.

2 doubles was ok, but 3 made it even awesome-er. And Cuddyer must have been sending messages to Young at home because Delmy batted in Cuddyer every time.

In the game yesterday, the Yankee's would bite, and we would bite right back.

Also, that was an awesome first homerun for Mauer. Nearly upper deck, and agaist the Yankee's made it even better.

Casilla's not-so-suicide-squeeze was pretty cool too. And he even beat the throw for an infield hit. The 2 Speedie's are best friends, and joined at the hip, as you can tell:

(awwwww!)
I call them: Gosilla

Note to Livan: You scare me alot. I hope you get a win soon.

Twins News: Boof Bonser has officialy been moved to the Bullpen to make room for Baker who will be pitching Thursday.

Other Facts: Cuddy Still won't shave. In my opinion, the clean-shaven Cuddy is my favorite. ^-^

Tonite is the one and only **Slowey** against....*giggle* Oriole's: Radhames Liz *giggles*

1/2 games behind the Chic Sox. It would be grand to be on top.

ILY Slowey!

Not Right

Twins: You are soooo capable of beating the Yankees....yet you just act like idiots in Xtra innings. We had last nights game. Bottom of the ninth, HEART of our lineup: ALL, yes ALL strike out. Yay for: Lamb (nice triple), and Casilla (nice patience)...who are the only ones who did something to try to win. And then Rincon comes in and yeah, we lose...wayy ta go Rincon...way ta go.

Guess what?!? Young still sucks! What a surprise!

Both Morneau and Cuddy have gotten homeruns in the past few games that I missed. Cuddy is finally getting some power back in him.

AND: Nick Punto returned Saturday (nearly sleepless) and didn't do that bad...he even got INTENTIONALLY WALKED!!

I didn't get to post on the Slowey game, but I was SOOO pissed when he didn't get the shutout. Blackburn and Slowey (aka my favorites) are cursed. Both took shutouts into the ninth innings...neither got their shutouts. Only Slowey completed the game.

Weird info: Apparently Cuddyer doesn't want to shave...he is too busy driving in runs and being Mucho Cududdud

I think we should blame all our problems on Delmon Young from now on...for example:
~Ball gets past Mauer/Redmond....YOUNG'S FAULT
~Casilla makes a bad throw....YOUNG'S FAULT
~Gomez gets caught stealing (2 times in 1 game on Thursday!!).....YOUNG'S FAULT
This is what Delmon Deserves for being terrible...I will change my mind about him if he hits a homer....

Addition to the Roster: Craig Breslow....who pitched Awesomly yesterday night.

Also: Congratulations to Nick and Natalie Punto on their birth of a baby Girl, Nicole Jayne Punto, on Friday.

Blackburn's Gem....wasted

Ugh.
Ugh.
U-G-H.

That was the worst thing ever that could have happend to blackburn. He pitched his ass off, and then Delmy/Nathan....mostly Delmy...just ripped his hard work to pieces. I was so ticked off for Blackburn. I bet that Blackburn wanted to scream and punch Delmy's lights out. I wanted Blackburn to get a shutout so bad!

Delmon ticks me off. Offense: Sucks Defense: was good, now sucks. The only reason they keep playing him is because he is on a Quote "playing streak". But is on a terrible 0 for his last TWELVE at bats. Yuck.

Thank you Cuddyer for getting the game winning hit. If the Twins lost that game, I think i would have probably gone insane.

Please Hernandez, keep the Royals on a losing streak.

Please Gardee, Bench Young.

Please Gomez, keep being speedy.

Please Morneau, when running bases, at least give SOME effort.

Thank you Twins.
